Description

Dr. Libien will highlight innovative pathway and outreach initiatives, including the REACH (Research Experience in Autism for College and High School students) pipeline program, designed to engage high school and undergraduate learners—particularly those from underrepresented backgrounds—in neuroscience and biomedical careers. These programs integrate research exposure, mentorship, and career development to foster early interest and sustained engagement in pathology and neuroscience. The session will explore how structured outreach, hands-on research training, and mentorship networks can expand access to careers in academic medicine and improve diversity within the pathology and neuroscience workforce.
