Objectives

  1. Differentiate accurately between acute symptomatic seizures and remote symptomatic seizures following stroke or TBI.
  2. Evaluate the evidence for and against anti-seizure medication (ASM) prophylaxis in the acute phases of ischemic stroke, intracerebral hemorrhage (ICH), and traumatic brain injury.
  3. Formulate an evidence-based long-term management plan.
