Objectives

1. Describe the relationship between repetitive head impact exposure and the development of chronic traumatic encephalopathy, including current evidence regarding disease prevalence and risk.
2. Evaluate the current understanding of CTE neuropathology and its relationship to clinical symptoms, including limitations in diagnosing CTE during life.
3. Identify emerging approaches to CTE detection and opportunities for preventing neurodegenerative disease associated with repetitive head impacts.
