Updates in Papillary Thyroid Cancer

Objectives
1. Understand the changes in the epidemiology of thyroid cancer, including the factors contributing to the rising incidence of papillary thyroid carcinoma and how to best utilize thyroid ultrasound to avoid overtreatment
2. Be familiar with emerging data on the use of AI in the diagnosis of thyroid cancer
3. Apply molecular diagnostics in estimating the risk of malignancy in indeterminate thyroid nodules and in the treatment of advanced thyroid cancers
4. Consider the use of non-invasive ablative techniques, such as microwave and radiofrequency ablation, for treating low-risk papillary thyroid cancer
5. Use evidence based guidance to assess the risk of papillary thyroid cancer in patients using GLP-1 receptor agonist agents, including findings from recent cohort studies.
