April 30th, 2026 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit Hours
Description
Dr. Wei Guo will discuss how extracellular vesicles (EVs) function as key mediators of immune suppression within the tumor microenvironment. Drawing on mechanistic insights into EV biogenesis and cargo, the talk will highlight how tumor‑derived EVs contribute to immune evasion and promote tumor growth and progression.
Dates and Times
Start: 4/30/2026 12:00 PM
End: 4/30/2026 1:00 PM
Objectives
1. Understand the role of extracellular vesicles in shaping the tumor microenvironment and suppressing anti‑tumor immune responses.
2. Describe the molecular mechanisms governing EV biogenesis and secretion in cancer cells.
3. Recognize how EV‑mediated immune modulation contributes to tumor progression and metastasis, with implications for cancer therapy.
