Description

OB/GYN Grand Rounds topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce residents, faculty and affiliated community physicians to the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Obstetrics and Gynecology including medical problem solving, surgical skills and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

Dates and Times

Start: 10/28/2026 7:30 AM
End: 10/28/2026 9:00 AM

Objectives

1. Describe the WHO 90-70-90 elimination targets and the 4 per 100,000 threshold, and compare progress toward elimination in high-income settings with South Africa and underserved U.S. populations, identifying the main drivers of disparity: HIV, screening coverage, and access to treatment.

2. Apply current U.S. guidance on self-collected HPV testing to their own patients, including who is eligible, who should be excluded, what screening interval to use, and how to follow up a positive result. The aim is to expand screening among under-screened patients.

3. Evaluate the emerging evidence for topical therapy of CIN2/3, including adjuvant intravaginal 5-FU after LEEP in women living with HIV, and discuss where it may fit alongside excisional treatment.

4. Identify one or more changes at the practice level to close a gap in vaccination, screening, or treatment follow-up in their own patient population.
