Objectives

Describe how nuchal translucency is measured and interpreted according to crown-rump length and established thresholds.

Explain the genetic, structural, and non-genetic conditions associated with increased nuchal translucency.

Recognize how NT measurement, persistence, and additional ultrasound findings influence risk assessment and prognosis.

Compare prenatal diagnostic options, including FISH, karyotype, chromosomal microarray, RASopathy testing, and exome or genome sequencing.

Identify appropriate follow-up evaluations, including detailed ultrasound and fetal echocardiography.

Apply a multidisciplinary approach to counseling and managing pregnancies with increased nuchal translucency.
