Description
Plastic Surgery topics are presented by experts in their fields and are selected as highly relevant and important to the development of a current base of medical knowledge necessary to maintain a high level of care. These presentations are intended to introduce resident, faculty and medical students the most current and accepted approaches to the discipline of Plastic Surgery including medical problem solving, surgical skills, and new techniques in diagnosis and treatment.

Objectives
1. Describe the anatomy of the dentofacial structures: nerves, muscles, teeth, and bones.
2. Identify the anatomy of the facial bones and the location of dental and neurovascular structures within the bone.
3. Describe the relationship that movement of skeletal structures will have on the soft tissue envelope.
4. Draw the anatomy of the maxilla, mandible, nose and chin including bones, nerves and vascular supply.
5. Recite the anatomy of the masticatory apparatus including muscular structures and contiguous neurovascular structures.
6. Recite the anatomic changes in the airway that occur with various movements of the maxilla, mandible, and chin.
7. Recite the basic anatomy of the dental structures and the TMJ.
