Objectives

  1. Identify limitations of current definitions of success in MIGS clinical trials and apply a more comprehensive framework that includes ocular surface health when evaluating surgical outcomes in practice.

  2. Incorporate both objective (tear film metrics, ocular surface staining) and patient-reported measures (OSDI, SPEED) into clinical decision-making for glaucoma patients undergoing or having undergone MIGS.

  3. Select treatment strategies that balance intraocular pressure reduction with ocular surface preservation, thereby improving patient quality of life and adherence to glaucoma care.
