Objectives
- Identify limitations of current definitions of success in MIGS clinical trials and apply a more comprehensive framework that includes ocular surface health when evaluating surgical outcomes in practice.
- Incorporate both objective (tear film metrics, ocular surface staining) and patient-reported measures (OSDI, SPEED) into clinical decision-making for glaucoma patients undergoing or having undergone MIGS.
- Select treatment strategies that balance intraocular pressure reduction with ocular surface preservation, thereby improving patient quality of life and adherence to glaucoma care.
